Jerry joined the large Amyot Gélinas family in 2021 as Director – Consumption Taxes. He is now Senior Director – Consumption Taxes. With his combined experience in tax litigation and advisory services, he assists the firm’s clients to help them understand the risks in the conduct of their business, or to negotiate optimal outcomes in the event of an audit or opposition.

Before joining the firm, Jerry began his career at the Agence du Revenu du Québec where he refined his technical skills through hundreds of tax disputes involving various industries. After completing a graduate microprogram in consumption taxes, he also flew to Toronto to learn more about the operation of taxes in other Canadian provinces within the largest indirect tax firm in North America.

Often described as a “ray of sunshine” by his colleagues, Jerry loves human contact and above all sharing his knowledge with as many people as possible. He has trained hundreds of professionals on various aspects of sales taxes, including provincial sales taxes in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

If you are passionate about aviation, cooking or gardening, Jerry will certainly be a contact of choice for you, since he flies planes on weekends, in addition to cooking good meals from his vegetable garden for his loved ones.

Jerry is also a guest speaker and author.
