This stay enables them to take steps to regain their autonomy and self-esteem, and to break free from the cycle of violence. To achieve this, we work to encourage these women to become more aware of their situation and to evolve by offering them support, listening and quality information services. These interventions maximize their empowerment.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Our client is currently recruiting a domestic violence worker.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate accommodation requests and refer as needed<\/li>\n<li>Welcoming, supporting and accompanying women during their stay<\/li>\n<li>Provide telephone support (information, support, referrals)<\/li>\n<li>Develop and monitor intervention plans<\/li>\n<li>Organize, prepare and lead themed group meetings for women staying in shelters<\/li>\n<li>Offer individual and group meetings<\/li>\n<li>Supporting women in their legal, social and other procedures<\/li>\n<li>Maintain links with partners and participate in team meetings<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the house runs smoothly and that the rules are respected<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other related tasks as requested<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Profile required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College diploma in social work or other relevant discipline;<\/li>\n<li>At least one year&#8217;s experience working with women who are victims of domestic violence;<\/li>\n<li>Be bilingual to be able to adequately serve the target clientele (French and English-speaking);<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What makes the difference:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support for feminist values and approach.<\/li>\n<li>Team spirit and positive attitude.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to listen, observe and be receptive to women&#8217;s needs.<\/li>\n<li>Have a high work ethic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working hours :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The schedule is spread over four evenings, from Friday to Monday, from 3:30 pm to 12:15 am.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Want to help make a real difference to women&#8217;s lives?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send us your CV &#8211; we&#8217;d love to meet you!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Please note that at Amyot G\u00e9linas, your application will be evaluated by a human resources professional, not by artificial intelligence.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In line with the principles of feminist intervention Citad&#8217;Elle&#8217;s primary mission is to provide women and children who are victims of domestic violence with a temporary safe haven.
