Groupe Amyot Gélinas is very proud to announce that Christian Gélinas, founding partner, CPA auditor, CA, has been awarded the prestigious title of Fellow (FCPA) by the Ordre des CPA du Québec.
Each year, the title of Fellow is awarded to CPAs from among the 40,000 members of the Ordre who have shown exceptional dedication or distinguished themselves in their community through achievements that have an impact on the profession.
“This is a great honor for me and a priceless appreciation from my peers,” stressed the principal concerned. “I can only thank my colleagues and all those who have supported my candidacy.”
Recognized for his considerable contribution to the rapid growth of Amyot Gélinas, Mr. Gélinas has led the firm to become one of the largest in Quebec and the largest CPA firm in the Laurentians.

An impressive track record
In addition to his volunteer work as a member representing the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec on the Comité consultatif du ministère des Affaires municipales sur la comptabilité municipale and the Comité sur les administrations municipales de l’Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec, Mr. Gélinas also boasts an impressive track record of contributions to various organizations.
Following a redistribution of mandates at Palliacco, a support organization for cancer patients and their caregivers, Christian Gélinas helped create the organization in 2012.
Mr. Gélinas became involved with this organization, which provides accompaniment, support and respite services to Laurentian cancer patients, end-of-life patients, caregivers and bereaved people and their loved ones.
Sainte-Agathe-des-Arts
Keen to develop the greater Laurentian region and raise the quality of life of its residents, Mr. Gélinas helped found “Sainte-Agathe-des-Arts” in 2007. The organization obtains from the Town of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts the mandate to manage, program and operate Théâtre Le Patriote, a legendary venue on the Quebec cultural scene.
Caisse Populaire Desjardins de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts
Christian Gélinas’ excellent reputation as a chartered professional accountant in the region, as well as his values, made him an ideal candidate for the Caisse’s Board of Supervision, which called on him to fill this position, which will require a strong sense of ethics and professional conduct. He will hold this position for over 24 years.
Fondation Médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut
As founder, Christian Gélinas will devote his heart and soul to this flagship project in the Laurentians. He has contributed to the success of several fund-raising campaigns that have enabled the organization to donate over $11 million worth of equipment to the 32 municipalities served by the medical foundation. In recognition of this exceptional contribution, he was awarded the medal of the Quebec National Assembly by MNA Claude Cousineau.
Nord en fête
For 10 years, downtown Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts played host to the world-famous summer festival, featuring some of the biggest names on the Quebec music scene. Mr. Gélinas served as the organization’s treasurer for three years and as president for two, bringing his expertise as a financial administrator, but also his love of music.
Groupe de soutien aux initiatives jeunesse des Laurentides (Laurentian Youth Initiatives Support Group)
With his visionary spirit, Christian Gélinas helped found an organization that would grow and adapt over time. Thanks to this organization, many businesses were born, and the organization continues to work for the development and well-being of businesses and entrepreneurs in the Laurentians.
Through his altruism, dedication and leadership, Mr. Gélinas actively contributed, as one of the founders, to the establishment of this project in 1979, which officially came into being in 1981. Today, CPE Bambouli has three facilities in the Sainte-Agathe area, with a total of 172 daycare spaces.
