You’ve no doubt noticed that the tax authorities are working hard to reduce the tax burden on taxpayers. Many of you have contacted us to find out more about the impact of these tax measures.
That said, as of Friday, March 20, Groupe Amyot Gélinas would like to inform you that no measures have been presented or announced by government authorities regarding consumption tax obligations.
In other words, tax returns must be filed at the same frequency as before the pandemic, and tax payment dates remain the same.
The tax measures announced with regard to the deferral of tax return filing only concern tax returns and do not apply to sales tax returns.
Rest assured that we remain vigilant with regard to the various announcements and communiqués issued by the tax authorities.
