Amyot Gélinas finalist for the CNESST Grands Prix

Amyot Gélinas is one of the national finalists in the Proaction category of the CNESST 2025 Grands Prix. “The CNESST Grands Prix aim to shine the spotlight on prevention in labour standards, pay equity and occupational health and safety. They are awarded to local individuals and organizations committed to improving their workplace.

CNESST Grands Prix finalist

Amyot Gélinas and its partners are committed to the happiness and well-being of all their members in the workplace. With the creation of their Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee two years ago, they have demonstrated the importance they attach to accident prevention within the firm and its teams.

That’s why Patrice Forget, President and CEO, is extremely proud today to announce that“Amyot Gélinas is a finalist for the CNESST 2025 Grands Prix. This nomination recognizes the efforts and importance of the work of the members of our OHS Committee in ensuring the health and safety of all our employees. Indeed, following the implementation of the ” Ergonomic Workstation Prevention Visits ” carried out by our Committee, the CNESST selected this initiative to highlight their proactivity in the workplace, which far exceeds legal requirements. We are very grateful for this.

Proaction category

The OHS Committee’s project is to provide ergonomic awareness visits to all employees and associates in the firm’s 7 offices. Should specific needs or issues arise during these visits, the Committee makes recommendations ranging from the purchase of equipment to a visit from an ergonomist.

Indeed, the vast majority of the firm’s members, by virtue of their responsibilities, are called upon to spend many hours in a stationary position in front of a computer. Workstation ergonomics and awareness-raising are therefore essential to prevent musculoskeletal disorders among professionals; this is often a forgotten evil in prevention actions, since we rarely think about these risks, tending instead to consider injury risks related to moving loads or using machinery. Yet the CNESST (French Occupational Health and Safety Commission) states in its publications that static posture is the main risk factor in the office.

A fine recognition

The firm was present at the CNESST 2025 National Awards Ceremony held at the Quebec City Convention Centre on May 13, 2025.

Patrice Forget adds: “We would like to congratulate the three other national finalists, as well as the Congébec winner, for their proaction and commitment to health and safety on a daily basis. This place as national finalist is a wonderful recognition, and I’d like to take this opportunity to underline the work and investment of our colleagues on the SST Committee“.
