–BLAINVILLE, JUNE 8, 2020- Groupe Amyot Gélinas President Patrice Forget has been awarded the CPA Bénévolat 2020 prize by the Ordre des CPA du Québec. This recognition was awarded with “gratitude for his constant commitment”.
For 30 years, Patrice Forget has devoted himself to his Laurentian community. An influential member of the Richelieu Mont-Tremblant club since the early 1990s, he has been involved at local, regional, national and international levels, becoming international president in 2002-2003.
As President of the Fondation Richelieu International in 2014-2015, he created the Richelieu scholarships for high school, college and university students across Canada. In 2008, he helped set up a college study center in Mont-Tremblant, in addition to serving on the board of directors of the Mont-Tremblant Junior AA Hockey Club for some fifteen years.
Over the years, Patrice Forget has put his reputation to good use in fund-raising activities in his region. Centraide, the Maison de la famille du Nord, the Association des personnes handicapées Clair-Soleil and, in particular, the Fondation médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut have all raised impressive sums year after year, the fruit of Patrice Forget’s unblemished interpersonal skills and reputation.
Whether in the role of president, treasurer or campaign committee member, Patrice Forget is always rigorous and far-sighted in ensuring the excellent financial health of the organizations that form the fabric of Laurentian society.
